Your Lifeboats Need Your Help

The Jersey Lifeboat Association (JLA) needs your support to allow us to continue to keep our waters safe, and to save lives around Jersey.

As a totally local voluntary charity, available 24/7, with no paid individuals, we rely on the generous support of our local community and businesses.

In addition to the emergency callouts received, our dedicated crew gives up their time at least twice a week, to train for what would likely be your worst day.

Being trained to an independently recognised standard comes at an increased cost, but it offers the users of our waters the most effective vessels and casualty care when things do go wrong.

With no government funding and having failed to gain as much assistance from local grant awarding bodies as we would have wanted due to well publicised pressures on the voluntary sector, we are seeking the support of the public of Jersey to maintain our services and to undertake vital upgrades to comply with specific UK Marine Coding legislation.

If you can offer any financial support to the JLA, you can rest assured that your contribution stays local and provides a totally free, state of the art and highly trained lifesaving service around our waters.

Please reach out to us today or email our chairman.

Thank you
