Terms & Conditions of entry for the Cow Pat Raffle:
The competition is being run by The Jersey Lifeboat Association (JLA).
There is only one prize: £2,000 cash. No alternatives will be offered.
The cost of entry is £20.00. In return for this payment, the purchaser will be given a ticket and details of where and when the draw will be taking place.
There are 200 tickets available.
The Promoter on behalf of JLA is Cheryl Hibbs.
Tickets can be purchased by contacting Cheryl Hibbs on 01534 725526.
The number of the ticket will correspond to one number on the grid. This grid space will be designated specifically to the holder of the ticket.
When purchasing a ticket, you will be required to give your name and contact telephone number (or preferred method of contact) so that we may contact you regarding this draw.
You are providing your information to JLA only. The information you provide will be used for this competition only. Data may be shared with the Jersey Gambling Commission for regulatory purposes only.
The draw will take place on Sunday 25th October 2020 at 2pm.
The site of the draw is Shenandoah, Rue de St Mannelier, St Saviour, Jersey JE2 7HJ, at Sadie le Sueur-Rennard’s farm.
Prior to the draw, an area will be marked out as a grid in the designated field and the squares will be labelled to correspond with the numbers sold. The cow will be released into the field. The winner will be the ticket holder whose numbered square is used for the … actualization.
The draw will be completed by Sadie le Sueur-Rennard and Mo Le Var.
Open to Jersey residents aged 18 and over.
Strictly no tickets are to be sold to, for or on behalf of anyone under the age of 18
Ticket sales will close at midday on the day of the draw (Sunday 25th October).
Only one entry per ticket. Multiple entries will require multiple ticket purchases.
Anyone wishing to view the … performance … may do so. If you are able to let us know in advance that you wish to attend, it would be appreciated but not essential.
The winner will be informed via telephone (or other method specified by the ticket purchaser) once the deed is completed. The winning number will be published by JLA on their website, Facebook and other social media pages.
The winner’s name and photograph will only be published if the winner is in agreement.
By adding comments to any of our social media posts promoting this competition, you are granting permission for these comments to be used by JLA online at www.lifeboat.je and any other online platforms or communications.
By giving us permission to take your photo you understand and agree that JLA has no obligation to publish your photo but can use the photo in any promotional activity regarding this competition.
Should the … package …land on more than one square of the grid, the judge will make a decision based on the percentage of dung per square. The highest percentage will be deemed the winner.
The judge’s decision is final.
The prize will need to be collected from JLA and a photograph may be taken of the winner to be used as part of the announcement of who won the competition.
All profits made on this competition will be retained by JLA and used for the maintenance, upkeep and running of the JLA boat(s) and any other requirements to allow us to provide the lifeboat service.
By participating in this competition, entrants confirm they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, anyone other than JLA and those mentioned by name in these terms and conditions.
Should circumstances arise outside of our control whereby the draw is unable to take place via the specified method (ie cow pat), we will contact all ticket holders and advise of an alternative method for completing the draw in a fair and transparent manner.
