The JLA are pleased to advise that the refurbishment and engine replacement project is nearing completion.

Sir Max is currently out of the water having some final modifications undertaken to the water intakes and then she will be ready for commissioning and sea trials, hopefully commencing in early July, subject to the manufacturer’s availability.

Whilst this significant project has taken longer than expected and not without some challenges, which occur when such a major package of works is undertaken on a 38 year old vessel, we look forward to seeing Sir Max back on service very soon.
