Shout: Welfare Concern

At 19:44 last night, JLA’s Albert Pinel was tasked to assist in the search for a concern for welfare.

Albert Pinel launched within 12 minutes of page and was on scene at Sorel Point in 20 minutes from St Helier.

Utilising the FLIR camera system, in reducing visibility, allowed the crew to quickly and effectively perform a shore search on the North Coast.

RNLI Jersey St Catherine’s lifeboat was also tasked to search from White rock heading west. Both vessels joining in the middle for further tasking.

Fortunately, States of Jersey Police had found the person safe and well.

At 21:26, Albert Pinel and RNLI Jersey St Catherine’s lifeboat were stood down and returned to berth.

Thanks goes to Jersey Coastguard for co-ordinating SAR assets and also to States of Jersey Police for a positive result.

The JLA operates solely on donations and local fundraising, ensuring every penny goes directly to maintaining the vessels and supporting the Crew’s vital work. Your contributions keep them afloat, literally and figuratively.
