SHOUT 30 April 2025

In the early hours of yesterday morning, the crew of Albert Pinel was paged at 04:30 to reports of a vessel in distress between Jersey and Guernsey.

Launching at 04:50, Albert Pinel proceeded west at 40–45 knots, making full use of the favourable sea conditions. Thanks to excellent coordination from our colleagues at Channel Islands Air Search , the casualty vessel was quickly located just a mile away.

Shortly after, the Spirit of Guernsey RNLI Guernsey Lifeboat arrived on scene and assumed the tow back to Guernsey, with Albert Pinel standing by and providing further assistance en route.

On arrival, our crew were given a warm welcome and outstanding hospitality from both the St Peter Port lifeboat team and Guernsey Harbours. We’re incredibly grateful for the care shown — it made all the difference after a long morning.

A huge thank you to all involved especially Jersey Coastguard. Albert Pinel returned to berth at around 11:30am, ready for the next shout.
