Albert Pinel was in action today at the Jersey Boat Show, as the Jersey Lifeboat Association delivered an exciting live demonstration of our inshore lifeboat RIB right in the heart of the marina. Crowds gathered along the pontoons to watch as Albert Pinel showcased her speed, agility, and rescue capabilities—demonstrating exactly how our crew responds swiftly and safely to emergencies in Jersey’s coastal waters.
The display formed part of our ongoing Sea Safety programme, aimed at giving the public a real sense of what happens during a rescue operation and why training, teamwork, and the right equipment are so vital. These demonstrations are a valuable opportunity not just to show what we do, but to engage directly with the community we serve.
It was a pleasure to speak with so many visitors throughout the day—answering questions, sharing stories, and raising awareness about the role the JLA plays in keeping Jersey’s waters safe. From preventative patrols to emergency callouts, our crew is here for the island, 365 days a year.
