Casualty Care

The past few days have seen Albert Pinel and our crew at the heart of both operations and training.

The boat was launched on Thursday evening and again on Friday morning, with crew responding promptly and professionally. As ever, we’re grateful for the dedication and readiness of our volunteers.

At the same time, we began our Casualty Care course with Trident Training. The course is designed to give crew the skills to provide essential first aid and trauma care, including administering oxygen, Entonox, and using AEDs – all part of our standard onboard equipment.

Our thanks also to St Helier Yacht Club for allowing us to use their Westward Room for our training session. Your ongoing support is always valued and appreciated.

After three days of intensive training, all ten candidates passed their final assessments on Sunday. A huge well done to all involved.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the JLA – your backing allows us to train, respond, and serve the island 365 days a year.
