Donation Update – A Huge Thank You

Thank You for Your Life Saving Support

We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation of £5,740.00 from Jill and Clive Browne, which has enabled the
purchase of five new 4 point harness crew safety seats for our all weather lifeboat, Sir Max Aitken III.

This vital contribution will have a lasting impact on the safety and wellbeing of our volunteer crew, who remain ready to respond at a moment’s notice, in all conditions, to those in danger at sea.

A Safer Ride in the Toughest Conditions

All weather lifeboats are routinely launched into challenging and unpredictable seas. The new crew
safety seats are specifically designed to provide improved protection, shock absorption, and secure
restraint during high speed transits and rough weather operations. By reducing the risk of injury and
fatigue, these seats allow our crew to remain focused, effective, and ready to carry out rescues safely.

Put simply, this donation helps ensure that those who go out to save lives have the very best equipment to bring them home safely.

Supporting Our Volunteer Crew

Our lifeboat crews are made up of highly trained volunteers who give their time, skills, and courage free of charge to
protect others. They ask for nothing in return—but the support of donors like you makes their work possible.

Every call out places physical demands on the crew, and investments in modern safety equipment such as these seats demonstrate a clear commitment of the JLA to protecting those who put themselves in harm’s way for the sake of others.

Making a Real Difference

Thanks to your kindness, Sir Max Aitken III is now better equipped to serve our community and
surrounding waters. Your donation is not just a financial contribution—it is an investment in safety,
preparedness, and lives saved.

On behalf of our crew, supporters, and the many people who may one day need our help, thank you.
Your generosity strengthens our ability to continue our mission and stands as a powerful example of community
support in action.

Together, we save lives at sea.
