Last night, our crew teamed up with our SAR partners, Jersey Fire & Rescue for a joint training session on the water.
The crews practiced towing drills, taking turns as the casualty vessel to put their teamwork, communication, and boat handling skills to the test. Training like this is vital to ensure we can work seamlessly together when it really matters.
The session also included some general familiarisation, giving both teams the chance to get hands-on with each other’s vessel and equipment. Understanding the kit and capabilities of different assets is invaluable when working side by side on real rescue operations.
