Part 6: Dress Sensibly: Don’t Forget Your Gloves And Sunglasses!
The colder and shorter days don’t have to mean hanging up your sailing gear. With a few simple precautions, there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy the water. Just make sure you stay safe whilst doing it, by following our handy tips:
It may sound like common sense, but you need to make sure you are dressed accordingly for the cold weather. Putting on plenty of layers of bulky clothing will keep you warm, but it can also restrict your movement. With thinner layers, more air can get trapped and will keep you feeling warmer and able to move about. Make sure you have a snood or similar to keep your neck, nose and chin warm too.
