Part 2: Engine Maintenance

The colder and shorter days don’t have to mean hanging up your sailing gear. With a few simple precautions, there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy the water. Just make sure you stay safe whilst doing it, by following our handy tips:

Boats left afloat in our salty waters are unlikely to suffer from damage from low temperature, but it’s always worth checking for water in the engine to make sure. Ensure that the coolant is topped-up with the correct antifreeze mix, or run some antifreeze through the raw-water system.
