SHOUT 27th July 2025

What started as a routine training session for the Jersey Lifeboat Association last weekend quickly turned into the real thing.

Just as our crew was heading out for scheduled exercises, we received a call: a vessel had broken down out at the Écréhous. Without missing a beat, the team pivoted from training mode to full rescue operation.

The stricken boat was located and the crew onboard were brought to safety. Conditions were challenging, and the operation took a total of six hours from launch to return — a long day, but a successful one.

💪 A huge shoutout to our volunteer crew for their fast action, calm professionalism, and commitment to keeping Jersey’s waters safe. This is exactly why we train — to be ready when it matters most.
